Professional translator specialized in web content, info products, and audiovisual translation.

Hi there, nice to meet you!

My name is Richard Mendes, I am a professional translator from Brazil and I specialize in web content, info products, localization, and audiovisual translation. I am looking to build long-term professional relationships; I take pride in my punctuality, and I am especially proud to say that I have never missed a deadline.

I started my career in December of 2017 and, since then, I have translated ebooks in various subjects, ranging from self-help to parenting, as well as online courses, titles and descriptions, blog posts, and, on one very fun occasion, fairy tales!

I have also created and timed subtitles for various videos using Aegisub and subtitle edit and localized games and software working in JSON files using Poedit and Poeditor.

In addition, I have experience in technical, medical and legal translation, having translated business plans, contracts, presentations, medical reports, surveys, SQL databases, legal and personal documents, and more.

All with great feedback from my clients!

There were some rough times, but 2018 taught me that I can do it, that I have the skills, the dedication, and the perseverance that I need to have a successful career in translation.

2019 will be a year for growth and experimentation for me; I'm going to revamp my resume and start contacting translation companies, I will create a professional website for my business, I will be more active on social média, and I will look for new ways to promote my business!

My main objective this year will be to build a clientele and forge long-term professional relationships.

Work Terms

I don't mind hourly work, but I greatly prefer to be paid by project or by the benchmark.
