I have provided proofreading for newspapers, magazines and marketing departments from one end of the country to the other. And I'm good at it.
I'm a former journalist who landed in Marketing and stayed there. Stayed in Marketing, but traveled from Texas to Oregon to Pennsylvania. I proofed copy and built supplemental program material for the Oregonian in Education in Portland; I ghost-wrote magazine pieces for a roof manufacturer; and I proofread healthcare-related marketing pieces for the last seven years or so. I've also worked customer service, database maintenance and traffic. All-in-all, an interesting career.
Work Terms
I'd like to work a regular day schedule but am open to after-hours or weekends if there is a premium involved. I prefer to communicate by email but phone is OK if necessary. I'd like direct deposit but will take timely checks in the mail or e-payment of some sort. I will ask for market rate, whatever that is.
