Hello, and thank you for reading my profile!

My name is Rita and I am from Portugal. You can count on me to be reliable and trustworthy in any task I'm assigned. I'm a flexible, easy going, detail addict, and an enthusiastic professional.

Studied Law, Sociology and Urbanism.

I started working as a Research Assistant in a Research Center - meaning I analyzed data, reviewed bibliography, co-wrote and co-published several scientific papers. I was also part of an amazing team that allowed me to have my first experiences as an editor and graphic designer for three books. I was also involved in some EU projects, and co-wrote some grant proposals for EU funds (that were granted!)

After a few years, I started a job as a Managing Editor for an online OA peer-reviewed journal where I had the opportunity to lead a team of 20+ editors, and successfully curate and publish some volumes.

2020 is a year of change for me. I'm now listed as an Upwork professional (as you can see!). This will also be the year in which I will be putting effort in creating my own business.
