My goal for each and every project is to serve the client's creative needs by providing high quality illustration for successful completion at a fair and honest price.
My background of illustrative experience includes such national companies as JC Penney, K Mart Corporation, Hanna Barbera, Augsburg Publishing, and Baker Book House. Projects for these companies and others include children's book illustration, advertising and product illustration, magic slate illustration, and magazine and story illustration.
I have been an animal exhibit illustrator for several zoos for over 27 years. This type of illustration includes detailed, realistic animal and fish renderings, and botanical illustrations for field guides, as well as a variety of backgrounds to enhance the visual appearance of the exhibits.
My favorite medium is watercolor and designers gouache, which I find light, colorful and fresh. To me, vibrant color is the sine qua non of any eye-catching illustration, no matter the subject.
Work Terms
I always strive to maintain an honest and open line of communication with a client, in order to provide a satisfactory end result. Many of my local clientele are long-term accounts that were nurtured by providing the highest quality service for their creative needs. Repeat business is considered a big compliment to my work and efforts.
If I have a question, it's important to be able to receive a timely response from the client, in order to meet deadlines. Any client will receive the same promptness from me.
Preferred communication methods for me are via phone and e-mail.
