Emergency Editing and Quick Creations for Businesses in a Modern Workplace: Bring in an idea or a broken piece of writing, get back a complete, sound work.
I hold a Bachelor’s in both history and philosophy from Salisbury University and recently completed coursework on a Master’s Degree in English from George Mason University. I have also studied at such prestigious institutions as the Umbria Institute, Rothberg International School, and Exeter College, Oxford. With many academic publications as well as a few personal, creative publications my writing portfolio is diversified and growing. However, my greatest strengths lie in drafting vibrant and concise product descriptions, writing for specific audiences / consumer bases, and editing work done by non-native English speakers. Many translators, while fluent in two languages, do not have the technical writing skill in English to create a clean, copy-edited work. Having taught business writing at George Mason University to non-native English speaking students, I am versed in many of the grammatical and idiomatic problems non-native English speakers encounter. Moreover, I have a working business vocabulary, something which many copy-editors, being students of the English language rather than finance, accounting, and the like, do not possess. The objective of all writing is to convey specific information effectively and efficiently. The key to successful business writing is conveying that information effectively and efficiently and also appealingly. To do that, it is imperative to know the target audience. Not only am I capable of creating and/or editing a work that is grammatically correct, but I can specialize that work to its proper context.
