I work fast as a designer and typesetter, am an open communicator, work under pressure to tight deadlines, and am an innovator – while still looking after myself!

I have many years experience as a book and reports designer and typesetter and have run my own business for just over 18 years. I have experience in building Indesign templates for xml automation with Typefi.
I am familiar with designing for series – across learning levels, subjects and languages. I make a point of familiarising myself with target markets with respect to age, visual literacy and other reader competence levels.
Although my passion is for book design, I am competent in other spheres – for example, brochure design and reports (including annual reports), magazine design, and creation of charts, infographics and graphs. I have also worked as a DTP finished artist in Photoshop and Illustrator in a freelance capacity for a few advertising agencies.
I love the nitty-gritties of design, for example: fonts, grids, leading and kerning! I am also an excellent project manager and pride myself on my communication skills and the uncomplicated way in which I work with team members.
I work comfortably and competently within the global economy. I am a self-starter and commit myself to meeting attainable deadlines – through the application of vision, communication and time management.

Work Terms

I work an 8-hour day. My payment terms are within 30 days.
