Hello! I'm Rod. I live in Brooklyn, New York where I keep the lights on working in admin in the VC space while blogging about culture and performing improv comedy in my spare time. I love reading about urban and civic planning, obsessing over baseball, and cleaning/restoring gravestones. I once worked on a boat and I've made hotdogs from scratch. I'm front-loading all of these personal details to emphasize that I am, in fact, a human being with specific quirks and lived experience and I hope that you are too.
My approach to copywriting and creative consulting is rooted in a desire to see more of what appeals to me: work that feels like a person made it for another person. I specialize in finding the heart of the story you have to tell, (be it through ad copy, blog posts, op-eds, etc.) and using that heart to help you find your voice.
