What has been started will be completed.
I’ve been in the BPO industry for over 10 years. The recent experience was spent under quality assurance for almost 4 years. I listened to calls and evaluated those based on client guidelines, facilitated QA talks, including one on one coaching. I also made excel templates mainly for reports, data analysis and tracking. Other than the reports made, I send emails regarding product and process updates and reply to queries too.
After my resignation from the call center industry, now I mostly spend my time helping my wife to take care of our 6 year old daughter. This starts from waking up early to cook, prepare her clothes and driving her off to school until it’s time for her to get back home. I also guide her when she’s studying her lessons. Spending time with my daughter isn’t just all about serious stuff as we also have fun together.
Time isn’t a luxury to waste. The resignation from the corporate world was a sacrifice to spend more time with my family. Deciding to work at home saves time from preparing for work and travel. Better to work at home together with the people I love than to continue working in the office and almost spend most of the time away from home. This also becomes one thing less to worry for my wife.
When I was in the corporate world I was always at least an hour early in the office before my shift. I had to prepare early, reading my inbox, launching my spread sheet templates, to monitoring my team’s productivity and so on. I am meticulous with deliverables, aside from having the monitor uploads accurately done, it should also be timely. Work should be done efficiently.
