Unique art and elegant irreverance
I am a mixed media artist with a BFA in General Fine Arts from the Maryland Institute College of Art, and an M.A. in Mythological Studies. I have participated in various exhibitions, including the Inter/Arts MICA/BSO Exhibition at the Meyerhoff Symphony Hall, the Empathy Project and the MICA 20th Annual Benefit Fashion Show.
In my own work, I like to use a combination of ancient symbols and modern imagery and iconography. Which is to say, I like to draw from many cultural sources, without veering into appropriation. The materials that I use are dictated by whatever project I am working on. This generally gives the end product a unique and mulit-layered feel.
When working with a client, I work diligently to merge the client's ideas with my skills as seamlessly as possible. This includes setting realistic goals for both creativity and productivity, as well as brainstorming about concepts, image details, and materials used.
Work Terms
I generally work creatively during the evening and early morning hours.
