My mission is to help others with the knowledge I’ve obtained from being a teacher for so long.

For 37 years, my life revolved around teaching English at a high school in Illinois. It was a fulfilling career, but as retirement approached, I found myself contemplating what the next chapter of my life would entail. Little did I know, an unexpected opportunity would soon present itself.
It all began when my daughter, recognizing my love for language and meticulous nature, suggested I explore proofreading as a way to both assist others and earn some additional income. Intrigued by the idea, I decided to give it a try.
Now, as I embark on this new journey of proofreading, I feel a mix of excitement and anticipation. While I may be stepping into unfamiliar territory, my passion for language and dedication to detail remain unwavering. After all, those 37 years in the classroom instilled in me a deep understanding of English mechanics and a keen eye for spotting errors.
What excites me most about this venture is the opportunity to help others improve their written communication. Whether it's refining a resume, polishing a manuscript, or perfecting a student's essay, I am eager to lend my expertise and make a positive impact.
Of course, there's also a practical side to my decision to delve into proofreading. Like many retirees, I have financial obligations to consider. From covering everyday expenses to ensuring my beloved cat receives the care she deserves, every extra dollar counts.
But beyond the financial aspect, this endeavor holds personal significance for me. It's a chance to continue doing what I love – working with language – while also exploring a new facet of my skill set. It's an opportunity for growth, both professionally and personally.

I work from 8AM - 3PM so anytime after that is perfect for me to work on your project.
