Art that will light up the room!
For over 20 years, I was the marketing coordinator for a grassroots top quality used furniture and home decor store called Uhuru Furniture in Philadelphia that was an economic self-determination project of the non-profit African People's Education and Defense Fund. I have practical experience in all aspects of marketing and design on a community based budget. Unfortunately the store closed at the end of Oct 2023 due to the financial issues in that city.
I love working with graphics and combining my love of nature with mobilizing color and design.
I studied art and painting at Cooper Union in NYC in the 1970s.
I come from a family of artists including my mother, who was a beloved local artist in Portland, Oregon, my sister who runs a gallery in Watsonville, California, and my uncle Paul Georges was an internationally known figurative painter in New York City in the 1940s-1990s.
