Experienced Blogger, Content Writer, Social Media Manager and Editor Looking to Expand Portfolio and Explore Different Types of Writing
Hi There! I have spent my life on the coast of NC, including my years in college. I earned a BA in English in 2009 and recently had the opportunity to make writing a full-time career. Prior to making writing and editing my 9-5, I spent several years in real estate and my current job is, shall we say, real estate adjacent. I have done freelance work for some local magazines which allowed me to explore content writing on everything from local history to astronomy to the Civil Rights Movement. In my current position, I am responsible for blogging for two different companies, managing various social media accounts for three and editing a multitude of things that come my way. I have also gotten to dabble in some speech writing and with some press releases. I am looking to freelance in hopes of being able to do some more content writing akin to what I was doing for the local magazine I referenced - unfortunately they ceased publication in early 2019. I do, however, have a lot of experience in writing for real estate publications and am a licensed NC agent. I enjoy researching almost as much as writing and also revel in the opportunity to edit the work of others. New challenges excite me and I have found success with them as they've come my way. Available no more than 20 hours per week, work will be performed mostly evenings and weekends. Rates are negotiable depending on assignment.
