About

I have recently retired and keep myself out of mischief, offering freelance proofreading and transcription services from the comfort of my home.

I have a Bachelor of Commerce degree, specializing in computer science and business economics.

My earlier career path included computer programming, product assessment, and customer service roles, in the financial and medical services industries, and new-business developer in the financial, medical services, and hospitality industries.

The latter part of my career included key accounts management and business partner development roles offering paperless practice management solutions to medical specialists, and HIS, RIS, and PACS solutions to hospitals. These roles required specialized needs analysis, product configuration, and tender management skills, where correct and clear wording was essential, allowing no room for ambiguity or misinterpretation.

Offering proofreading and subscription services was a logical next step, allowing me to work from home, and offering these services, with the additional benefit to customers of knowing that I understand and appreciate their need for clear, correct, and unambiguous content.

Work Terms

My operating hours are extremely flexible.
I would appreciate payment after completing a proofreading or transcription task.
The customer is welcome to share their preferred communication method. I do have a Skype account, should this be a requirement.
