My mission is to help you convey your ideas, strengths, and goals through writing that is powerful, clear, and accurate.
I have been a writer all of my life, with interests in both the sciences and the humanities. I have an undergraduate degree in Philosophy from Williams College and a Masters degree in Geology from the University of California. In addition, I have work experience guiding a wide range of college textbooks through the production process at Prentice-Hall and at St. Martin's Press. Later, I worked in the field of environmental consulting, which entailed writing and editing a wide range of reports, proposals, and business letters. I also established a part-time business as a job search coach and have assisted numerous clients with application essays, curriculum vitae (CVs), resumes, and cover letters. Completion of a two-year training program in coaching ("CoachU," 2001) enhanced my ability to support clients by understanding and championing their unique strengths and goals. Finally, I am a writer of fiction on the side, working on a fantasy novel with fun characters and complex world-building!
