Ryan Vincent Manning is a Texas based designer investigating new building models that look to incorporate ideas from the computation and fashion industry to produce buildings and objects into soft familiarities. He is the principal of quirkd33, a research and development collaborative in products, writings and architectural ideas. Along with John Maruszscak and Roger Connah, he runs Heron-Mazy, a working practice producing altered architecture projects, investigative pedagogies, interfaces and altered media film. With Heron-Mazy, he has accompanied a multitude of honors and publications in Storefront Art and Architecture, Blankspace, and Dallas Film Festival, just to name a few. He has been an invited professor at TU Innsbruck, and has lectured and acted as a guest critic in numerous universities internationally. His academic research has been widely featured in publications and international conferences such as AD, and Fresh Meats. He is the program director of theBeeInstitute, an independent educational collaborative.
