I'm an experienced copy editor and proofreader with a Master of Liberal Arts degree, and a professional career in marketing, business, and grant writing. I’m the managing editor for The Bookie Monster, a website specializing in SF/F/H book reviews for independent and mainstream authors. I've worked as an editor and content coordinator for the At Hell’s Gates horror anthology, and as a proofreader for a fantasy fiction anthology that is not yet published.

When it comes to editing, I have an eye for detail. When you’re finished writing your first draft, I’m here to help you polish your novel, through a close edit to look for inconsistencies, continuity errors or plot holes. If your final draft is complete, I provide proofreading to find those sneaky mistakes that the typo fairy left in your manuscript. Whatever the project, I'll attack it with passion and dedication.

Work Terms

Available to take on one novel or two novellas at this time.

Rates:
Copy editing: 6¢ per word, includes two editorial passes for grammar, spelling, punctuation, sentence structure and word order, while maintaining the author's meaning and unique voice.

Proofreading: 2¢ per word. This is a seek-and-destroy mission for typos, spellcheck errors, and the errors you missed the first time.
