SA Brown traded small town Mississippi for the city lights of Atlanta. She loved it but darling, give her “Ponce Ave.” Writing allows SA to reveal her innermost thoughts through character motivations, flaws, and wins. With twenty years of teaching and an obsession for uplifting themes, SA creates contemporary female-led dramas with simplicity and nostalgia that target Gen X. Enjoying 16 short film credits, SA writes from a place of reinvention as someone who now spends her life writing. Her short film, Telling Stories, made a festival run, earning six laurels, including Best First Time Filmmaker in Georgia. Her weekly podcast, Tenth & Northside, highlights Southeast talent. She sold her feature, Mississippi Christmas, which was shot in January 2023, and wrote, directed, and produced Tales from 10th and Northside on Tubi. SA travels while she writes.
