Backend Expert | Application Developer (Web, Mobile and Desktop)

I have been a software engineer for the last 36 months. It has been a smooth transition to the corporate IT world with the company picking me as an intern right out of my third year of University. After 9 months of interning with an enthusiastic team I was employed full time by the same company. I have been a part of varied flavors of projects ranging from the basic optimization scripts to the more complex web application for network representation. I have always put forward a more effective, albeit unconventional approach in every project that I have been a part of. This has helped me collaborate with my peers on a more conceptual level and gain different technical perspectives.

Desktop applications – I have developed applications that automated the regression testing process, and hence saved a lot of time and effort of the Q/A team. Also spent a lot of time in an application that automated networking device migrations. These applications were developed in Python, Java and C#.

Web Applications – I was involved in the development of an application that could come up with the pictorial representation of the network from the networking device configs. Also in the process of developing a health care related search application that outputs a set of relevant doctors based on the health symptoms given. I have worked on the Django and Web2py frameworks along with trying a hand at NodeJS as well for backend. For the frontend I enjoyed working on AngularJS and JQuery.

Independant time optimization scripts – Developed a lot of self interest scripts that helped automate a lot of day to day technical tasks. These scripts were mostly done in Python.

Having worked on all this, I would love to enroll myself into a more challenging environment which Toptal Web Engineering Community promises to offer. I would love the flexibility of choosing my work which is an oppurtunity that comes along with working with Toptal Web Engineering Community which suits my working style.

Work Terms

I can make myself available for more than 30 hrs per week. I prefer to communicate in English.
