I graduated last December with an engineering degree . I loved being an engineer student, it helped me become a tougher person, persistent in what I do and for that I am grateful. However, I don't see myself working in that field as it is not a good fit for me. After my graduation, I took time to rethink my career choice. I travelled and went backpacking last March through South Asia. I came back home more confident about my choice to "switch" careers, to pursue another path.
I have always dreamt of being part of a movement that could make a difference, a positive change, because as silly as it might sounds it makes me happy. The same happiness I felt while I was a member in the international association IAESTE. Every time I went job raising, helped a student prepare her/his application and saw her/him get accepted and ready to embark in a lifetime experience as a trainee abroad, I felt happy and in the right place. And that's the kind of feeling I want to feel in my job. And this is why I embarked in a new experience of social entrepreneurship working alongside with a friend building a startup to empower small business owners.
