Graduate Electrical Engineer
Greetings! I am Sameed Abdul Quddoos, an 8th Semester undergraduate student at PNEC, NUST studying Electrical Engineering. My journey toward this advanced field comes from my fascination with science and technology from an early age and has led me to keep thinking about scientific challenges and issues.
During my internship at Pakistan Navy, I was tasked with classifying a 12-lead ECG dataset of around 10,000 patients. The ECG features included, RR interval, PR interval, QRS complex, QT interval, QTc interval, P wave interval, QRS complex, T wave interval, and ACCI. I used a step-by-step procedure to solve this complex task. Using Google Collab, I made a program using Python language, to first convert the data set's Excel file into .csv format, perform data preprocessing by cleaning the data set by removing incomplete records, do feature selection by selecting specific features and removing extra information like patient name, divide the data set into train and test data, and then finally used multiple classifier algorithms like Random Forest, Logitboost, and SVM, etc. After that, I compared the training and testing accuracy of all the algorithms to identify the best technique for us.
During my tenure as a Customer Service Executive at Sanam Jung Fragrances, I was entrusted with managing all customer inquiries and orders across various social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp), as well as through emails. Additionally, I was responsible for overseeing the brand's Shopify account, including manually processing customer orders, fulfilling orders promptly, and generating discount vouchers. I actively participated in team meetings, where I contributed insights on product issues, proposed solutions for problem resolution, and suggested improvements to enhance sales performance.
In addition to my professional experience, I am deeply engaged in staying informed about developments within my country, particularly in my city. I have a strong interest in environmental issues and am passionate about policies related to climate change. During my college , I actively participated in a plantation campaign as part of a community service project, demonstrating my commitment to environmental conservation. Furthermore, I am keenly interested in local government policies and projects that directly impact the community at the grassroots level.
Work Terms
I am available 40+ hrs during the week. My pay rate is $10 per hour.
