My name is Samuel de la Vega, I’m a translator and interpreter, and I'm experienced in written and simultaneous translations.
Hi. My name is Samuel de la Vega, I’m a translator and interpreter, was born in Spain (Malaga), have lived in the US for a long time (between Chicago and NY), and currently reside in Colombia (South America). I’ve worked as a professional linguistic for the last 6 years, and have a lot of experience in written and simultaneous translations. I have worked as a professional translator for numerous companies, including the US Ministry of Energy, the Colombian Government and Ministries, the Colombo-American Chamber of Commerce and the International Red Cross/Red Crescent, and leaded many linguistics projects in Central and South America.
Amongst a vast work experience in the writing and translation fields, I’ve worked for Global Voice TN and BALR. where I functioned as editor, project director and translator at both companies at a time when they experienced unprecedented growth. But life is full of changes, and so at the present time I'm on my own. I continue to freelance for several companies, including TLC, but I'd love to expand my horizons and look for other work opportunities.
