Composer, Podcaster, Producer, Songwriter, Performer
I am a composer, producer, and singer-songwriter. I like to expand among a variety of genres, shifting for the sake of the stories being told in my compositions and songwriting.
My debut album, Bloom, is a time capsule of my beginnings as a composer. It’s an ambient album. Bloom was released on August 8th, 2020.
I have a Master’s degree in Music Composition from the University of Central Oklahoma, as well as a Bachelor’s and Associate’s degree in Contemporary Music Production from ACM@UCO. I have Pro Tools 110 certification, Pro Tools Game Audio 130 Certification, and hours worth of music. I’ve done scores for short films and themes for YouTube channels and podcasts. Through my experience working in music production, I’ve also gained experience in audio engineering and AV production.
My primary instrument is my voice but I also play guitar, bass guitar, keys, and various DAWs. Ableton Live is my primary DAW. I am a member, and the manager, of Power Cycle - an experimental electroacoustic music trio of composers with J.R. Edwards and Breck McGough. Power Cycle’s debut album, Too Many Damn Cables, is entirely improvised music.
I have a podcast called Bit Depth, which I started in March of 2016, and I’ve recorded 200+ episodes and interviewed 100+ people. On the podcast, I interview interesting people about what they do, why they do it, and what they believe. Topics range from spirituality to society and culture, to art and philosophy, but sometimes it also gets silly among the depth.
I currently live in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, with my wife, Sable, and our cat, Marnie.
