Sara is a writer, a marketer, a social media fanatic, a weirdly-innovative "outside of the box" thinker, a yoga teacher and a person.
While she's been writing her entire life, Sara was first published eight years ago at 16. Growing up, she was always called out for being different and was even named "most unique" in high school. While this title was annoying growing up, it has helped her learn to differentiate herself and her clients.
At the University of Colorado at Boulder, she studied news-editorial journalism with certificates in entrepreneurship and international media, graduating with honors in 2011. During her college career, she was a reporter and social media outreach editor for the CU Independent, and interned at Boulder Jewish News, TransWorld Business and M Magazine, among other places. She was also selected to be a college "mobilizer" for Posterous, responsible for regular microblogging. Posterous has been sold to Twitter.
After college, she worked at Boulder PR firm Metzger Associates and was primarily responsible for website content creation, social media marketing, SEO, press releases, account management, and reports.
She then decided to give back by spending a year volunteering in Israel for a year, teaching English in the periphery, organizing event's and helping start social media efforts in local federations. During the last part of the program, she interned at ROI Community and implemented their yearly summit's social media strategy and experimenting with new mediums like Eventstagr.am. She was highly praised for her efforts and received a job offer to stay on board.
Sara returned to Colorado in August 2013 and returned to Metzger for a short period of time, before receiving a offer to work as Gaiam's Content and Social Media Coordinator, where she currently works.
Sara is a CorePower Yoga-certified yoga teacher and loves everything yoga. She's also a career advisor/life advisor to many, regularly professionally editing resumes and cover letters. She loves helping people get their dream careers and take their lives to the next level.
