I have 25+ years experience as a copywriter, editor and ghostwriter in industries that span the spectrum from rock & roll to real estate. My editorial expertise includes newspaper and magazine features, press releases, ads, corporate collateral, web content, articles brochures, books and marketing materials of all kinds. My author-editor-ghostwriter work includes several books for clients as well as four published books of my own. Over the last two decades I've worked with clients in real estate, entertainment, health care, non-profit, education, consumer products, technology, publishing and the arts.

Work Terms
I have been freelancing for about 25 years. I currently have a home office in northern California., and am looking for freelance, off-site projects only. My work hours are endless... I usually start at 6 a.m. and am often still my desk at 10 pm, including weekends. My favorite cliche about freelancing is this:
"When you're self-employed you only have to work half a day. And you get to choose which 12 hours it will be."
That pretty much sums it up for me.
I am easily accessible by phone and email and respond to communications promptly.
Regarding payment, for most projects I require a signed project agreement and generally 1/3 of the fee up front.
