I have a fairly diverse background for being less than a decade into my career. I began my career as a civil engineer for a construction management company. Within a year I moved to their marketing department and began playing the role of marketing technologist. But for the last five years I've been writing code full time, the first few years for a design agency, and as of January 2016, as an independent contractor.

I began writing code by working with PHP and WordPress, but I quickly moved on to Ruby and have stuck with it ever since, although I've ventured off recently to try my hand at a couple single-page applications using AngularJS.

Work Terms

My goal is to be flexible and fair. I'm typically available for communication between 10-4 (eastern time) M-Th, but I work outside those hours to get the job done as promised.

Payment terms depend on the project. I'm open to working with you to decide what may be best for both of us, but in a new relationship I typically require at least a third up front before starting a project.

My main goal is flexibility—to be able to adjust based on the current needs.
