I am a writer and historian from Kansas City, Missouri. I earned my B.A. in History and Theology at Rockhurst University in Kansas City, Missouri (2015) and my M.A. in International Relations and Democratic Politics at the University of Westminster in London (2016). I plan on beginning my work on a Ph.D. in History in Autumn 2017.

I have published one novella, "Abducted and Abandoned" via Kindle Direct Publishing, and am in the process of completing a book that is part travelogue, part memoir, part history based on my adventures in Europe in 2015 and 2016. I have also written 14 plays, primarily three and four act histories and tragedies, however my 1 acts have had a better performance record.

Besides English I also speak, read, and write in French, and Irish, and can understand Scottish Gaelic, Latin, Spanish, and Italian. I am currently learning German, Finnish, and Mandarin Chinese. My research has taken me throughout Northern and Western Europe as well as across the United States. In particular my focus is on the politics of language and national identity in medieval and early modern Britain, Ireland, and France as well as in the United States. As a result my research is primarily historical, political, and linguistic.
