I have a B.A. in languages and linguistics and an M.S. in Narrative Medicine, with a focus on medical narratives and storytelling in a clinical setting. After spending a number of years writing an academic blog, I switched my focus to journalism, media relations, and freelance editing.

I have more than five years of professional experience as an editor, proofreader, and writer. For the last three years, I've worked as a full-time freelancer, so I understand the special considerations that go along with remote and independent contract work.

For editing, I'm comfortable with creative, academic, and journalistic content and can work in any style you prefer (AP, MLA, Chicago, other). I'm an avid reader of both fiction and non-fiction and I'm able to do quick, yet careful turnaround on manuscript proofs.

On a personal note, while I live in England now, I am a native speaker of American English, and can work in both styles.
