Let's make it happen!
| INTRODUCTION |
I have spent the last 7 years working as a certified pharmacy technician in a variety of environments in the healthcare field. I graduated with my Bachelor's degree in English Literature in 2015 and would like to break into the world of publishing. I've decided to work part time in pharmacy while I find my career calling and hone my skills and establish connections doing freelance work. I am an incredibly self-driven individual and would love to combine my passions with yours to make your dream a reality. I look forward to working with you!
| PROFESSIONAL ACHIEVEMENTS |
In May of 2015, I assumed a role as project leader for an initiative which resulted in successfully reducing product loss in a high-volume mail-order? pharmacy. This initiative involved analyzing pharmacy automation equipment to identify issues in the filling and replenishment process and creating solutions and procedures to correct and prevent these issues. To accomplish this, I replaced paper calibration logs with a detailed Excel database of all Parata and Kalish unit calibrations, past and present. This allowed the team to quickly identify calibration discrepancies and provided a detailed history of each cell which could be used to investigate variances.
During the second phase of this project, I thoroughly documented all spill events and investigated their probable cause and communicated this with the McKesson and Walmart leadership teams so that appropriate action could be taken.
My contribution to this one year project resulted in cutting product losses by more than 40% and saving the company $130,000 in comparison to the previous year. The project was considered a huge success and the Calibration Tech position remains in place as a permanent fixture in the company.
