Training -- The Right Way
Shari Marshall is a learning professional with more than 20 years’ experience in corporate training. She is a graduate of The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and started her career in training while still in college working full-time as Division Manager in the Division of Neurosurgery (Department of Surgery, UNC School of Medicine). While there, she fell in love with technology and started training employees on new software.
Upon finishing her degree, she landed a position as a technical trainer at First Union Mortgage Corporation. While there, she became a certified facilitator through Development Dimensions International and later became the manager of that team. Eventually, she would also lead training efforts at GSK, Wachovia, and CSC.
As corporations began dissolving their in-house instructor-led training teams, and shifted towards an eLearning model, Shari shifted to a consulting career with a focus on instructional design, eLearning development, and training-related project management. Having worked at (or consulted at) many companies and on many projects, she has seen training done well and training that was less than stellar.
Shari is passionate about helping organizations and learners achieve their goals... by designing, developing and delivering training – the right way.
