An experienced professional with expertise in word processing, blogging, transcription and organization skills who consistently delivers high quality products.
I am the proud mother of five successful children, all adults now, college graduates with successful careers and businesses. My husband is a retired DEA agent, and thanks to his career, we have experienced living in different parts of the United States over the past 25 years. I hold degrees in criminology and paralegal studies from the University of Maryland. I enjoyed working as a paralegal in several practice groups in both small and large law firms. Additionally, I was a licensed real estate agent in Baltimore, Maryland and Albany, New York. After the birth of my youngest son, I decided to strike out on my own as an entrepreneur so that I could control my work hours. This was the best decision I have ever made in terms of my professional life. I have met and worked for people in so many disciplines, completing word processing tasks, medical and legal transcription, and virtual assistant duties. I also returned to school to gain skills in accounting and business management. I now enjoy blogging for my son's company, Live Green Be Green by PMD United and engaging in activities that support green living and sustainability. Life is not all work, and I appreciate traveling to visit family and friends, relaxing at oceanfront destinations and experiencing the sites and sounds of big cities. New York is one of my favorite destinations as it offers superb shopping, Broadway shows and innumerable restaurants. I love to go for long walks to truly experience nature. I listen to music of all genres. I am an avid sports enthusiast. I like the Buffalo Bills, the Washington Capitals, and I bleed Baltimore Orioles orange and black. Living close to the District of Columbia, I enjoy visiting museums and monuments, and I am proud to be a member of the American Association of University Women. On most Thursday mornings, I can be found in the halls of Congress with AAUW's Lobby Corps, seeking support for proposed legislation on education and women's issues.
Work Terms
I have a very flexible schedule, which usually works well to accommodate contractors' needs. I generally prefer to get paid by the hour, but I am willing to entertain a set price for certain jobs.
