Responsible for developing and maintaining a broad set of SSIS packages that collate sensitive data into import\export formats meeting both vendor needs for cross reference capability of patient\procedure granularity with external facing systems and the ongoing requests of governmental regulatory bodies.

On Call DBA for a vast set of database servers that support a diverse array of clients and customers. The server builds range from SQL Server 2005 to 2014. The DB systems on the servers are at times related with downstream consequences to other systems and outward facing vendors. Some servers are more autonomous but have unique needs based of legacy requirements that may reach back 10+ years. This also includes responsibilities for troubleshooting a set of servers with Analysis Services.

Reorganize legacy objects such as bulky, multilayered stored procedures, UDF’s and views to a more readable and resource friendly format.

Responsible for creating and maintaining a database disaster recovery plan that was fully implemented in the form of a live weekend failover to different geographical locations. This happened quarterly and the enterprise-wide database system was running fully functional in the recovery location for an entire weekend. This failover also included all peripheral functions such as SSIS packages, Jobs, and environmental variables. This was accomplished by using log shipping, replication and mirroring technologies that have come to a more mature state in SQL Server 2008 R2.

Maintain a Team Foundation Server environment for all stages of the development life cycle. This includes maintaining version control of all database objects from development to QA to production environments for the DB developers.

Maintain all aspects of the production Databases including trouble shooting server resource issues that might arise from bad indexes to poorly executing DB code by using such tools as Activity Monitor, SQL Profiler, Resource Monitor
