A dedicated editor and proofreader with an eye for detail and a high work ethic
I am here to do editing/proofreading, ghostwriting and research work.
I have a degree in journalism and anthropology. I have done various freelance editing projects before. I was the ghostwriter for some chapters of a client’s autobiography, which included a lot of history from the days of apartheid. I edited many Christian books and students’ thesis. I was the sub-editor for a newspaper. I've done research for a marketing company and a disability advocacy organisation. For many years I have done my own research on health, weight loss and mental disabilities such as autism.
I love the English language. In high school I was awarded the trophy for a pupil passionate about the English language. I've been on a creative writing course. I am very good with spelling, grammar and use of language. I have an eye for detail and great communication skills. I have a way words and I write poetry. I set a high standard for myself in my work and I keep to deadlines.
In research I'm very analytical. I am good at linking facts and summarising information. I can rewrite an article full of jargon and put it in layman's terms. I enjoy dealing with facts.
I am always honest and upfront when it comes to what I can and cannot do and the remuneration I require.
My interests include social sciences (especially politics, psychology and sociology), health/nutrition, mental health/neurodiversity, conservation, religion and the spirit world. I enjoy editing biographies because true stories fascinate me.
Work Terms
I work from 8am to 4pm South African time. For editing I charge 15 cents per word and for research I charge R50 per hour. I use either direct banking transfers or Pay Pal. I prefer being contacted by phone because I do not always have access to the internet.
