I am highly experienced in Azure, C# .NET development. I have extensive experience in middleware and back-end integration. I also have front-end web skills as well as desktop and mobile app development. I have led teams of up to 30 developers. For the last 10 years I have been a very hands-on Chief Technology Officer of Desktop Alert Inc. where I am providing technical architecture, high performance back-end development in Azure, technical team leadership, mobile development using MAUI and web development using Blazor. This position is entirely remote working with a small US-based company and leading developers primarily from Eastern Europe.
With 35 years total IT experience, I have held senior technical architect/engineering lead roles for the last 25 of them. I have many years of experience in multinationals as well as start-ups. I also have many years of experience as technical lead managing both remote and on-site development teams.
I am particularly adept at understanding and exploiting new technologies, both conceptually and hands-on, and rapidly understanding business problems and finding solutions to them. I have a PhD in Software Engineering, an MSc in Telecommunications Technology and a BSc in Astrophysics.
I am a UK citizen and permanent resident of Greece.
