I'm a proofreader/copy editor who wants to help you take your writing to the next level!

I have been an avid reader for as long as I can remember, and in 2018, I graduated summa cum laude from Texas A&M University Central Texas with a Bachelor of Arts in English. While in school, I proofread and edited frequently, for friends and peers as well as for myself, and discovered that I have a knack for spotting grammatical errors in writing.

I started my freelance business in November 2019 and began working as a proofreader for Grammarly in January 2020. Throughout my career, I have edited a wide variety of documents, including novels. I most often work with the Chicago Manual of Style, but I also have a working knowledge of MLA, APA, New Hart's Rules, and the AP style guide. I have experience with both British and American English, and have edited for many writers who speak English as their second language.

Work Terms

I charge $0.01 per word for proofreading and $0.02 per word for copyediting. For larger documents such as novels, I require a 25% deposit up front with the remainder due when the project is complete. I provide a one-page sample edit for larger projects so that you can determine whether I will be a good fit for your project before committing.
