What are genes how it functions and regulates in an organism? That question looks so simple and we can easily find out the answers from any reference books but for me it’s not enough. From childhood, these curiosities have brought me into this biological magnetic universe. Day by day I am entering in the depth of my subject I am wondering for this god’s magic. I am rising with new questions, my creative imaginations raises new possibilities. It is my constant ambition to determine the secrecies of the principle workings of life in the world living life represented by cells and molecules as a biotechnologist. I am delighted to find that I am getting closer to point out the convergence of molecular biology.
During this my 3 years journey, I involved myself in practical hand-on experiments in other institute labs. I did a summer internship project based on Antimicrobial and antioxidant property finding on cowpea and calyx of hibiscus also the production of nanoparticles from those under mentoring by Professor Amalesh Samanta, Division of Microbiology and Biotechnology, Jadavpur University at that time I read many journals on production of antimicrobial agents as well as drug modification for pathogenic diseases. I had learned how to do cell extraction by soxhlet extractor, Centrifugation, UV spectrophotometer, Sonicator. In the second year of summer, I was selected for the Summer Research Fellowship Programme at the Indian Institute of Technology (BHU), Varanasi under Professor Dr.Subir Kundu. I had done two NPTEL courses like Human molecular genetics, by IIT-Kanpur by Profs. S.Ganesh and “Industrial Biotechnology” by IIT-Kharagpur by Prof Debabrata Das and Certified in “DNA: Biology’s Genetic Code” from Rice University, Texas, U.S.A.
I have inculcated my knowledge by working on different labs like immunology lab, Genetics Lab, Microbiology lab, Cell biology lab. I have learned many techniques like Separation and purification of proteins etc.
Work Terms
I preferred communication in English, it should be online platform only. Payment should be in online, and working rate solely depends on work category, styles and time( long term or short term)
