A creative individual

I am 23 years old with a Broadcast and Production degree. As of right now I work in television for a highly known station. My work ethic has gotten me far in this station reaching my goal before I hit my 1 year mark here. Before becoming a studio operator I was given the utmost experience in audio and video.

Fortunately, I was able to land an internship in radio as my first gig in the business. Working in radio has taught me a lot. I learned about every aspect of radio from the ins and outs. Most importantly I learned about audio production work. The station gave me the opportunity to be very hands on. Not only did I personally do voice over work for the station, but they allowed to complete the production of my work. This gave me full creativity to learn what I can do.

I also have great amount of experience in video editing. This is what I love! When I first began learning this in school I gave it my full attention. Video editing is exciting and where I am the most creative. You can create whatever you want people to see. I would have to say my strength in video editing is knowing how great you can make one shot and knowing if simple is enough or if bringing a little manipulation can help. My favorite shot is a continuity shot! After interning in radio I knew I had to learn the way television works. I was grateful to get the chance to work at my local government channel. They taught me so much. I was put in the technical director seat controlling city hall meetings, going out to shoot community events, and most importantly being able to edit the videos.

This is my next goal. To really start putting more work out. I love working at the television station, but it's time to broaden my horizons.
