What is Gender Equality?

Gender equality means that different behaviors, aspirations and needs of men and women are considered and valued equally. It does not mean that women and men have to become the same, but that their rights, responsibilities and opportunities will not depend on weather, they are born male or female.
We can see nowadays the popularity of gender equality. Every person specially the females want their rights and they want to be dominant over men. It shouldn’t be like this, women can’t take men’s place and men can’t give birth to a child ever. In every religion there are rights for men and women and if we observe, our religion Islam has more rights for women than the men and those rights are perfect examples for all, if they are being practiced.

Co-Education System

There is another issue of co-education worldwide and specifically in Pakistan it has always been a debatable topic.
“Co-Education means An Education System, in which both the genders study in the same institution”
The first Mixed-Gender institute to be founded was Oberlin Collegiate Institute in Oberlin, Ohio in 1833. It consisted of 44 students, in which 29 were men and 15 were women.
In Pakistan, Co-Education is practiced in Primary Schools, Colleges and Post-Graduate classes.
