How Silver Lining QA was Born:
Early in 2015 a number of highly skilled QA testers working at a games studio in Oxford were made redundant.
Most of us had been working there for many years; we all enjoyed our jobs and some of us were on track for promotion. Unfortunately on a very dark Thursday morning we were called into a meeting with the senior management who informed us that, due to necessary cuts, we were all going to lose our jobs.
Over the course of the following weekend a small group of us came up with an idea that could shine some light into the darkness and save a lot of people from weeks of stress and pain: we decided to form an outsourcing company. Our own company, where we would be able to utilise our expertise in QA testing and keep the team together, under the name Silver Lining QA.
Since then we have worked day and night to maintain the level of skill and quality our team was known for and keep this company running smoothly and successfully.

Work Terms
Hours Of Operation:
- We work Monday to Friday between the hours of 8am and 7pm
- We are also willing to provide Weekend and Late Shift work, but the hours and numbers required would have to be negotiated minimum 1 week in advance, or as part of the initial contract agreement.
Payment Terms:
- We will send out an agreement letter confirming the required:

- Once the agreement has been returned signed and dated by the client we will then proceed with testing.
- Once we have met all of our agreed terms we will then send you out an invoice stating:
Number of Testers used
Number of Days spent
Number of hours spent
Total amount owing
Communication:
- We prefer to Communicate primarily through email but for low priority work topics we are happy to use Skype.
- We can also arrange to meet in person if your company is within reasonable travelling distance.
