English, German or Italian translations, proofreading and editing. My work for the success of your business.
One of my parents was an artist and both were from different countries so, I grew up traveling and going to school in different countries, becoming a polyglot early on.
I am fluent in English, German and Italian (spoken & written). I also studied French in school but never used it so, I understand it and speak mediocrely. Always up for a challenge and flexing the grey matter I am currently learning Thai.
I graduated from The Pennsylvania State University (main campus) in 1989 with a B.A. in German Studies and an undeclared minor in Italian Studies.
From 1989 to 2010 I worked my way up through the ranks of International Investment Banking from Reconciliations to Trading and finally Management.
Being a polyglot I have always been sought out by colleagues to translate, edit, revise, copy edit and sometimes even compose from scratch business correspondence as well as Marketing materials. Thus, I always had exposure and contact with different banking areas, I enjoyed learning new things while reviewing and meeting people from different backgrounds
After 20 years, I decided to retire early but, tired of lying idle on the beach after only 18 months, I decided to go back to work at least on a part time basis.
I have taught English for 2 years, in a public school, in a private language school and in my own language coaching business.
I enjoy travelling which, implies mobility and I do need to fund it so I have turned to freelancing and working from anywhere I am.
