The firm is based in Houston, Texas but, in keeping with his interest in sustainability, Mr. Emerson works a portion of the year from his off-grid, solar and wind powered cabin. He volunteers as a Captain in the Civil Air Patrol.

Prior investment banking and work experience: Managing Principal of Starlight Investments, LLC, a FINRA-registered broker-dealer that he founded in 2000. In its two most productive years, the firm raised over $100 mm in 2007 and 2008 in four industry sectors. Co-founded 13 year old private equity conference, New York Private Equity Forums, held several times each year at The Yale Club New York. Telscape, Int'l: part of the management team that rolled up five telecommunications companies in Latin America and grew to $150 mm in 3 years; WilTel.
