Translator, proofreader, post-editor, localizer from English/German into Italian, specialized in tourism/travel, fashion/jewelry/apparel, adult content, e-commerce, marketing/PR.
I am a linguist born and raised near Milan, Italy.
I finished a technical and language college in 1999 where I studied English, French, and German for 5 years.
In 2008 I graduated at the Faculty of Foreign Languages and Literature in German and Russian studies.
After my graduation, I moved to Germany where I completed my master's study in 2011 in Sustainable Tourism Management.
From 2011 I have worked as a tourism marketing expert in different post-Soviet countries where I improved my Russian skills.
I currently work as a freelance translator and localizer for Amazon, for which I translate product descriptions and create word databases from English and German to Italian, as well as other translating companies.
I voluntarily subtitled movies from English, German, Russian into Italian.
I also work as a German teacher in a high-school and I also privately teach English, German and French.
As a marketing manager in the tourism industry, I produced and translated/proofread marketing-related documents from Russian/Ukrainian into English, Italian, and German.
For the English, French, and German language, I hold official language certifications IELTS, TestDaf, and TEF.
I'd like to keep the job as flexible and various as possible, therefore I am very much interested in any project related to different fields or sectors.
Work Terms
I strive for quality and put a lot of effort in order to satisfy and meet my clients' expectations so I expect in return a fair compensation.
I strongly believe that high quality has its price, especially if the translation is backed up with proofing terms, proofreading and structuring the text so that it doesn't only make sense but that sounds appealing to your customer/client.
Projects set at unacceptably low prices will result in poor quality.
I usually deliver samples of translations of the material you wish to have translated. Requests for samples shouldn't exceed 100 words.
Depending on the text I can guarantee a weekly translation load of 18.000 words.
