With a background in writing, communication, and online media, as well as a previous position as a community engagement organizer, I have a wide variety of writing experiences. I have always had a deep interest in writing; with freelance writing and editing work, I will have the opportunity to put my dedication to use and spread my enthusiasm as broadly as I can.

As a graduate from the English program at the University of Illinois, I look forward to obtaining a meaningful career in writing and editing. I have gained extensive experience in written and oral communication, have excelled working with others in the field, and look to further my skills. Throughout my time in the English program, I have developed wide-ranging skills in writing and content creation, communication, analysis, editing, and revising. With each opportunity to write, edit, and learn, I greatly expanded my passion for the field.

Through my previous professional experiences, I have acquired a variety of skills applicable to a career in editing and writing. My experience working as an organizer during Dial-a-Carol has led me to a better understanding of how to communicate with the public warmly and openly; these skills have transferred to my tone in writing and speaking. The dedication I had in my position at Dial-a-Carol has helped broaden my interest in connecting with the public, whether through the written word or by speaking.

I look forward to further developing the skills I have obtained in various forms of media.

Work Terms

I tend to be fairly communicative as I go through my projects, and I do my best to keep my clients posted. In regards to payment, I only ask for the job and payment to match the job description.
