Enthusiastic freelance copyeditor eager to contribute to authorial success through hard work, attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills.
The Good Cop of Grammar
I’ve been called the “Good Cop of Grammar” because I don’t believe editing has to be scary or scarring for the author. I believe the author should learn from the process and have the final say in their work. Email me at stephanie@whiterabbitediting.com.
Who I am
I am progressive-minded and in tune with new developments in the publishing field. I’m an avid reader in my spare time and enjoy classics and speculative fiction. My goal is to help authors refine their work through quality copyediting and proofreading, so it’s polished for publication.
My career
Prior to becoming an editor, I was a University of Georgia Teaching and Research Assistant with a long-standing background in the Horticulture industry. I conducted research trials and edited and published several research scientific papers. Furthermore, I assisted in curriculum development and instruction for college-level courses. Now, I happily work from home as a freelance copyeditor and proofreader.
Work Terms
I work from home and will work beyond normal working hours to finish a project. I normally work six days a week. I prefer to work in the milestone method with stages of review and payment if it is a longer project. I communicate primarily through email but am open to texting or WhatsApp.
