Working as a German expat in Cape Town is a rather disconcerting situation: German perfectionism meets “now-now” culture. Initially I felt like the bird that leaned too far out of the cuckoo clock. I soon became fascinated, however, by a city that is growing a digital marketing hub, oozing creativity, & fueling a friendly “plan–making” culture.
I am a bilingual marketing all-rounder. Start-up companies get excited how I put structures in place, sweep through existing marketing media & make things sparkle. Because I replace a designer, a programmer, an SEO analyst & a copywriter, I help companies with limited marketing budgets to get their businesses off the ground.
I am an MBA graduate with over 7 years of business development experience in BPO, immigration, tourism & recruitment. This allows me to look at a company’s existing marketing strategy & make suggestions for improvement.
Unlike many other marketing experts, I am hands-on when it comes to implementing marketing strategy. I also have a proven track record of designing professional well-ranked WP websites, drafting copy, coding mailers, coming up with nifty social media campaigns, creating brochures & company profiles & using successful white-hat SEO methods.
Passionate about people & convinced that someone who spends 683 760 h of his life working deserves a job that makes the, happy, I have been beefing up Initiate International’s marketing since May 2013.
I am used to flat hierarchies & managing teams of designers, programmers & marketing staff. I believe being a good manager means caring enough about people to know what motivates them.
