Healthcare branding shouldn't hurt.
I put myself through grad school as a production artist, freelancing for different San Francisco ad agencies and lucked into a position at the Pacific Film Archive, which opened the door to the San Francisco International Film Festival and working on their promotional materials. After graduation, I interviewed at FCB Healthcare, and fell for the world of healthcare advertising. I never left.
For fun and to keep my mind sharp, I have been known to take my wild ideas to the microphone and perform stand-up comedy. Beyond branding products that help save lives, there’s just nothing like getting a room full of strangers to think about the same thing and then share a laugh.
I take the work of creating very seriously. I am endlessly fascinated by the power of visual metaphor. I think in pictures and stories. Getting paid to think up new ideas and create something from them is, in my opinion, one of the best jobs in the world.
