My name is Susana and I am exactly those two things. I have roughly four years of experience in editing, while my experience in cover design has mostly consisted of volunteer work for friends and family. My educational background as well is specifically in creative writing and publishing.
My philosophy when it comes to editing is deeply entrenched in compassion. Every project must be approached with compassion and consideration of its author without sacrificing honesty and integrity. Editing is about what the story needs to be the best version of itself, not my subjective taste.
In terms of genre, I am most well-versed in young adult, romance, character stories,, short fiction, LGBTQIA+, horror, contemporary, magical realism, suspense, and thrillers, but I am enthusiastic and open to working with any type of story.
Work Terms
I currently have a very flexible work schedule and can accommodate different timezones.

When it comes to lengthy editing projects, I do require milestone-structured payments.
