Content Designer and Editor
I studied visual design concepts and design theory, branding and usability in Technical Communication while studying for an MS in Professional Creative Writing, 2010. I know the same concepts the media designer knows but have the advantage of being an editor too, so my approach is a holistic one.
In the past 9 years I have worked in several industries including nuclear, and recently, biopharmaceutical manufacturing in (procedure, Project Controls, technical editor/writer) analyst and writer/editor positions/work. During that time, job responsibilities included working with marketing, media services, project management, regulatory, vendors, clients, and even CEOs to design client reports, metrics, custom client reports, marketing pamphlets, PowerPoint persuasive presentations, templates, forms, SharePoint web pages, and more. I designed first-in-kind client feasibility reports for multiple uses and a 20-page strategic business and operating plan handout for multiple audiences and uses. In 2016, I was developmental editor for a textbook that was published in the same year.
Recent freelance work includes data analysis and graph development in Excel for a Fortune 500 company.
Work Terms
Payment: Depending upon the project, flat rate or hourly. Payments expected by milestones unless it is a short project.
Hours: Monday - Friday 8-5; holidays if needed to meet deliverables.
Communication: Guru workspace but may vary depending upon the length and complexity of project.
