Specialist in advanced software design, development, implementation, and support.
Hello. Thank you for reviewing my profile.
I am a self-employed computer programmer with years of experience as an independent software developer. My recent successes include the design & development of a mobile (both iOS and Android) application that is deployed in a hospitality environment across several dozen venues nationwide. The application uses HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, and AJAX on the client-side device. The device-side code runs within a C# (Android) or Objective-C (iOS) custom-developed "shell" application that provides the HTML5/JavaScript application with device-specific functionality (e.g., hardware access, graphics) via an abstracted interface. The server-side is a custom-written Windows Server 2012 r2 Web Service written in VB.NET with a SQL Server back-end.
My experience also includes many years of successful desktop development for several major life-science companies. Typical applications include advanced sales/marketing (big) data analytic applications with graphics/charting performed via a custom OLE-to-Excel interface.
I hold a dual BS/BA degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from Boston College and a Masters of Science degree in Computer Science from Fairleigh Dickinson University. I completed 2 years of study in a Ph.D. program at Stevens Institute of Technology. I also hold a Graduate Certificate in Object Oriented Design from the New Jersey Institute of Technology.
I am currently working on a prototype for an engineering application that will use advanced, industry-standard libraries for 3D image and data visualization.
I am a US citizen. English is my first Language.
I am a member of the IEEE Computer Society, Microsoft Developer Network, Apple iOS Developer Program, MySQL Developer Network, Oracle Technology Network, NVIDIA Accelerated Computing Developer Program, and others.
I participated in Varsity Track and Cross Country at Boston College. I am a lifelong runner. I was a Boy Scouts of America "Life" Scout.
