Word-loving copy editor and proofreader with a wide range of experience. Specializes in novels.
I love working with words and jump at any chance to work with beautiful writing. One of my favorite things about editing is finding ways to support the author’s voice and help present the words in the best way possible. I have great attention to detail and enjoy fixing small errors that interrupt the “vivid and continuous dream” the author has worked so hard to create.
I discovered my love of editing while studying Professional Writing at Taylor University. I began freelancing a year before I graduated, and after completing my degree, I have focused on working as a copy editor and proofreader. I am also member of the Editorial Freelancers Association.
My clients include publishers, independent authors, educators, and small companies. My projects have included genre fiction, children’s books, memoir, inspirational writing, non-fiction, academic writing, and more. My specialty is novels but I enjoy the variety my other projects provide and the opportunity to learn something new with each project.
Work Terms
My rate is $35/hour. I am willing to be flexible on the rate depending on the type of editing needed and the amount of time it will take me to complete the project.
