I want to write and draw and talk about my passions. I'm ready to have some fun and love what I do. It's time to find some new challenges!

I'm a 41 year old trying to get back to my roots. Many of us have fallen prey to the system, and I'm no exception. We work for someone else and abide by the rules we must to maintain the status quo in order to take care of ourselves and our families. It's time now to use the talents I developed out of passion and love to try and make a living. I'm no fool, mind you. I will maintain my day to day work until there is ample room to discard such drudgery.
I've long been an artist with pencil and pen as my medium. I have always drawn the things I found interesting, in my own idiosyncratic style. From cars and planes, to dragons and super heroes. Seems like childish indulgence, but I didn't care. I've also on occasion used acrylic paint to create the large pieces. But, alas, my artwork has been lost to time (and likely the city dump), so I believe it's time to start anew.
I've also long had a passion for the guitar, although I began as a musician on the lowly recorder. I moved to saxophone for several years before finally gaining permission from my mother, who payed for the instrument, to trade it in for my first guitar. I've been playing ever since. I've performed live since I was 15 and have ironically been the lead singer for most of it. Even putting down the guitar altogether for several projects. There are no more dreams of true success in the field, but it's just to much fun to stop.
The final talent I wish to offer up is my mechanical expertise. I was in the automotive business for 15 years prior to moving into aviation. As with most young boys, fast cars are a thing of beauty and obsession. Again, I was no different. I, for a while wanted to design cars, but as I got older I realized the market was small, so to make a living I would take another route. During my time in automotive I came within 2 certifications of being a master tech. But with my experience, I learned that, with the right tools and information, there was nothing I couldn't fix.

Work Terms

Schedule: Monday through Friday I am unavailable until 6 pm and usually 1 night per weekend is set aside for band practice or shows. However, with the right situation, anything is possible and I can be very flexible.
